Are systemtic candida infections for real?

candida symptoms
thatgirl90 asked:

I see all kinds of stuff about them on the internet (up to 80% humans infected) and have many of the general symptoms but every site I find wants me to buy a cure which leads me to believe it is a scam. Is this really the “silent epidemic”?

Yes,it is often caused by the overuse of antibiotics & causes yeast infection to also grow in the intestinal tract.

Whether you need to “buy” a cure, I.m not sure.
Some notable home remedies are drinking a lot of UNsweetened cranberry juice
Eating lots of yogurt with active cultures
Taking strong acidophilus capsules from drug or health food store.
Try to avoid refined sugar.

Good luck

I think so. Americans especially consume large amounts of sugar and yeast, so it doesn’t surprise me at all.

A few years ago I was lethargic and felt awful all the time. I cut out bread and junk food, started taking oral Oil of Oregano, and a yeast cleansing supplement. For about two weeks I felt even worse - headaches, fatigue, diarrhea, muscle aches…but then I started to improve slowly. I even lost weight. Unfortunately, I started eating bread and junk again and my symptoms have returned. I guess it’s time to start over!

You are right to be suspicious. Candida can be found on everywhere, including the skin suraces of many people. But it has small potential to cause infection. It can, however, become a life-threatening infection in the severely immunocompromised patients. This includes patients with cancer chemotherapy, whose white blood cells have been knocked down below critical levels. Patients with AIDS who are in the terminal stages, and patients with other inborn or acquired immune deficiency syndromes. Candida can not pose a threat to people with normal immune systems. And candida can’t even compete with the ordinary skin, mouth and vaginal bacteria unless something happens to upset the balance of bacteria. This includes the use of antibiotics, and diabetes, where the extra glucose allows them to feed and multiply.
