this is making me feel like i hate life. i feel like i am going mad and cant control my thoughts sometimes.. i just feel so bad and wanna get better!
I went for a blood test and everything normal but a borderline underactive thyroid, and i am overweight.

Sounds like depression and hypothyroidism. Pin your doctors down for testing and tell them about all your symptoms. You are definitely depressed and your thyroid being underactive causes fatigue as well. You have to be firm with your doctors and tell them all you feel. Don’t be shy. They are there to help you. Be sure to tell all details! Good luck my friend.

It does sound like depression/anxiety, you can get help with these feelings you are having, you didn’t state if your gp or psychiatrist offered you some kind of treatment to help with the symptoms you are experiencing, I hope so, it will get better, you just need some help right now so hang on in there. Try exercising, I know its really difficult when you are feeling the way you do, but it will help both your mental health and physical health, even just a short walk each day. Good luck…

Depression means to everyone crying, sad, and hiding all day. Yes that happens but the actual meaning of depression is Depressing Painful Feelings with a distructive copeing technique. You could be depressing anger, resentment, fear, lonliness. etc. To push those things deep down we use other behaviors to avoid feeling what pains us the most. Some people eat for comfort, cut, drink, sleep all day, withdraw from people who know us well, shop, become defensive, abuse drugs, have anxiety about little tiny things to avoid dealing with the big stuff, cry….lots of stuff. So you:
Avoid doing anything
want to sleep all the time
eat comforting sweets
The loose bowl movements is a result of our wonderful bodt’s digestive tract being completely dependant on our moods and stress levels (IBS another question to answer).
The hate and anger are coming up because you can’t figure out how to feel better, but your mind and body are trying to quickly find a way to cope and so most of us find ourselves either asleep and numb to life or eating a whole lot of what makes our brain shoot off good endorphines. So when we see all these distructive behaviors, depression is not just the ones where people are sleeping or crying. All the destructive behaviors are there to pacify and hide what is too painful to bring into the forefront of your mind. That’s why doctors always ask if you have a history of Alcoholism in your family. It doesn’t tell them you have addict jeans. It is the #1 copeing technique and it tells doctors that relatives have had depressive issues that they needed to drink to feel better. I hope that helps. If you don’t feel like your doctor is explaining things to you then find a new doctor. This is not an issue you want to just trust his judgement about and not know why.
