I need to try to rule out a health condition; can anyone knowledgeable PLEASE help?

candida symptoms
magnetbox asked:

I wrote about this strange, longterm health problem I’ve been having on another forum, and I got a lot of suggestions like thyroid, Candida overgrowth, depression/anxiety, Celiac disease, etc. One person on the forum, who claimed to be a nurse, suggested something I had never considered before: that it might be MS.

As an anxious/depressive person to begin with, my mind has since been going crazy with the possibilities that it might be the early stages of MS. I’m worried I may get into another depression from the paranoia, as I have faced chronic anxiety throughout my life anyway. I need some help to calm down.

Are there other conditions besides MS, which can cause some of these symptoms:
(see next section of details)
Additional note: some symptoms of this condition started about 3 years ago. To complicate matters more, I’m a recovering drug/alcohol addict.

- Crackling/tight sensations in the lower torso when walking, seems to make walking a little harder than it usually is
- Visual problems (occasional blurry vision; light sensitivity; tougher to move eye muscles)
- Constant pressure in the head (my first symptom about 3 years ago now)
- Chronic constipation
- Sensations of things moving/pulling/pushing inside my body, esp. around bowel area… esp. after eating
- Crawling skin
- Red scaly rash around both eyes (had this for 7 years on and off; BEFORE the start of this health problem)
- Dry, “dirty-looking” skin
- Excess water retention
- Massive brain fog (my thoughts seem more random, disintegrated)
- Sensation of blocked veins in my neck and head
- Crawling skin
- Altered/lessened skin sensation, I don’t feel as well
- Slight weakness
- Extra problems with coordination

First of all TAKE A CHILL PILL! Go see a doctor.

Go see a doctor to find out if you have something or if it is nothing at all. Getting tons of different opinions on these boards will only add to your anxiety and make you think the worst is wrong with you. See a doc for a true diagnosis.

First of all, why are you asking this question online? I’m just a college student, but I could claim to be a doctor and tell you it’s fibromyalgia or something horrible like that. Some people are like that.

You need to schedule an appointment with your doctor, then quit worrying so much. We should not be your help. Your doctor should be your help. Also, if you can describe yourself as “paranoid” and “having chronic anxiety,” you should be on an antidepressant. It definitely appears to be screwing around with your life.

Call your doctor!

I suggest you see a dr. immediately as you have some acute symptoms that may signify a number of serious conditions. your dr. will be able to order tests to rule out or confirm a diagnosis. Stop putting yourself through emotional hell and get real help from a real dr.

If you are so worried, why don’t you go to the dr?? The symptoms you are describing could be a number of things.

I agree with the posters who are telling you to go to the doctor… Everyone on her has their own opinion as to what is going on with you… You can not go by what people who have never seen or examined you tell you.. Your anxiety level is going to sky rocket if you keep listening to what people are telling you it might be… What they say might have some prudence, but only a doctor can determine your exact diagnosis. I would recommend that you stop reading the answers right away, make an appointment with the doc ASAP, and in the meantime think positive thoughts about your health… Mind over matter… Good Luck and may God bless you!

I have a disease which is often mistaken for MS and can present differently in different people. It is classified as rare, but that is only because it is not often tested for. Here are a couple of good sites. I do hope that you do not have this, but at least there is treatment.

I have ms and I can tell that yes some of these symptoms could be ms but all your symptoms could be so many things or nothing at all. You say that you have anxitiy so you may just be over annlyzing everything. These may be signs of getting older. I mean what your saying is a lot of things so its hard to truly say but if you are truly worried then go to a dotocor and see if they will give you a spinal tap to see if you have the protion marker and MRI with contrest of your head, neck and spin since some of your symptoms would be in lower regions, to see if you have any lesions that show up in your white matter. But even if it is ms you have been having these pretty mild symptoms with out being on any meds for it so its alright. But I am just going with its your diet and your anxity thats doing these to you. I mean I have poping joints, pain in my stomach, red itch skin, ringing in my ears. but i am not having an ms attack, i am fine sometimes your body just dose it own thing but if this has been going on for three years you are obviously not that worried or you would have done something about it by now.
